- Current Count: it is the total sum of all the cards issued so far, example: for the “Hi-Lo” system, let’s imagine that the following cards have been drawn: 5,6,9,10,J,3,1,1,5,9,9,K,Q,3,5,6,2, in this system the current count would be equal to: +6 This is because each playing card in this system has the following value:
2, 3, 4, 5, 6 = count +1
7, 8, 9 = count 0
10, J, Q, K = count -1
- True Count: it is the sum of all the playing cards issued up to now divided by the number of cards that are still inside the playing shoe.
Example: we will take the same cards in the “Hi-Lo” system: 5,6,9,10,J,3,1,1,5,9,9,K,Q,3,5,6,2 these cards are equivalent to a score of: +6 and how they have come out so far 17 – 18 cards in total (this will depend on whether where you play BlackJack they eliminate the first playing card without showing its value) we know that inside the playing shoe there are exactly 295 playing cards, this amount of playing cards is equivalent to 5.67 decks, At this point, the formula to follow is very easy, we take +6 (our current count) and divide it by 5.67, then we have to: 6 / 5.67 = 1.05 is our “True Count” now we have valid information about the composition of our gaming shoe. - Hi-Opt II: it is based on the Hi-Opt I system but makes modifications to the values of this system, thus increasing its precision and efficiency in card counting.

- Omega II System: developed by Bryce Carlson, he first described it in his book “Blackjack for Blood” in 2001.
